One possible solution to eliminate cancer is to get rid of the telomerase gene, which is a protective cap that sits on each end of a chromosome.
When the cell divides, the caps become shortened. But the telomerase gene re-lengthens the caps, stopping them from becoming too short and dying naturally.
As cancer is a result of the uncontrolled replication of cells, the removal of the telomerase gene could prevent this re-lengthening process from happening, which would allow dangerous cells to die off after enough divisions.

AGEs can decrease the functionality of cells and lead to disease and early death.
They are the result of a sophisticated chemical process where sugars and other substances bind to proteins.
