Egg in a Nest Recipe: How to Make It

Ingredients (2 Servings)

  • 2 slices of bread 
  • 2 tbsp butter 
  • 2 eggs 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 


  1. Add the butter to a medium sized skillet over medium heat. 
  2. Cut a hole from the center of each slice of bread. You can use a drinking glass  or a cookie cutter. 
  3. Place the bread slices in the pan and toast for a minute or two then flip. 
  4. Crack an egg into the center of each piece of toast. 
  5. Cook until the eggs are set. 
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper before serving.
