Chicken Salad Recipe: How to Make It

Ingredients (2 Servings) 

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts; cooked, cooled, and diced 
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley 
  • 1 tsp oregano 
  • 1/2 cup candied walnuts, chopped 
  • 1 small apple, diced 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • 4-8 slices of bread, toasted 
  • Lettuce  

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, mayonnaise, mustard, parsley, oregano, walnuts, apples, salt, pepper, and honey. Combine well. 
  2. Refrigerate the chicken mixture for 2-4 (or more) hours. 
  3. Place a leaf of lettuce on 2-4 slices of bread. 
  4. Top the lettuce with a generous portion of chicken salad. 
  5. Top with another slice of bread then serve.
