Chicken Parmesan Recipe: How to Make It

Ingredients (2 Servings)

  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs 
  • 2 tbsp flour 
  • 2 chicken breasts 
  • 2 egg whites, lightly beaten 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 1/2 cups pasta sauce 
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese 


  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. 
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the bread crumbs and flour. 
  3. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, pound out the chicken to 1/4-inch thickness. 
  4. Dip each chicken breast in egg whites then dredge in the bread crumb mixture. 
  5. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. 
  6. Add the chicken and cook for 3 minutes on each side. 
  7. Grease an 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray. 
  8. Place the chicken in the baking dish and top with pasta sauce and cheese. 
  9. Bake for 10 minutes then serve.
